The arena lights dim as AFI’s “Miseria Cantare” begins to play over the PA system.  Smoke begins to form at the entrance as the crowd begins to rise in anticipation.  Then...

*BOOM-BOOM—BUB-BOOM!  BUB-BOOM-BOOM-BUB—BOOM*

...bright white spotlights begin kicking in and out to the beat of the song’s heavy drums, and a shriek of cheers emits from the crowd as the camera focuses on the entrance, where CM Punk is seen kneeling, his face lowered to the floor as if in deep thought.  He soon rises to his feet, intensity in his eyes as he gazes into the crowd, pumps his fist into the air and starts his way down the ramp to ringside)

Announcer:  This contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the UWA’s Intercontinental Championship!  Introducing first: from CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, weighing in at 220 pounds...C...M...PUNK!!!!!

(The cheers continue as Punk continues his path to ringside, rolling into ring once he’s reached his destination.  He then approaches the hard camera, stepping up onto the middle rope as he plays to the crowd)

RS:  Here we go, ladies and gentlemen!!  The intercontinental Title is on the line here tonight as CM Punk does battle with Downcast!  This, Downcast’s first title defense since winning the Universal Championship a few weeks ago.

Corino: Yeah, and as we saw earlier, this match means a lot to Downcast!  Downcast is still riding high from being the first man to hold both the Universal and the I-C Championships at the same time, yet this past week on FNS, he was pinned in that very ring by CM Punk! Thanks to Panther, of course, but it was still a win for CM Punk!

RS: Yes!  Downcast was absolutely irate about the loss!  He attacked Panther earlier tonight...no word on his condition as of yet, but was that attack a sample of what Downcast has in store for the Straight Edge Superstar?

(Punk hands his ring jacket over to a ring attendant as “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park hits the PA system.  Red and blue lights swarm the arena, and after a few moments...

*FWOOOOOOSH*

...sparks fly up from the entrance as Downcast is quickly elevates from beneath the stage with the I-C Title belt over his shoulder and the Universal Title strapped around his waist.  He also happens to be wearing a Diamond t-shirt.  Alberto Hernandez soon heads out from the locker room, and after Downcast takes a few moments to soak in the crowd reaction, he and Alberto head down the ramp to the ring.)

Announcer:  And his opponent...being accompanied to the ring by his bodyguard, Alberto Hernandez...from Oldsmar, Florida, weighing in tonight at 265 pounds...he is the UWA Universal Champion AND the UWA Intercontinental Champion...DOWNCAAAAAAST!!!!

(Downcast looks cocky as he and Alberto reach the ringside area.  He quickly enters the ring and goes face to face with Punk, mouthing off to the challenger as referee Jim Jonathan tries to keep things settled.  Downcast hands both title belts to the referee before removing the Diamond shirt, taking a moment to kiss her picture before tossing it away to a ringside attendant.  That’s enough to incite a small chant of “Panther” as the official calls for the bell)

Ding Ding Ding!!!

RS:  There’s the bell and we’re underway here on Gear.  Downcast...as you saw a moment ago, trying once again to get under the skin of the Champion of Champions as he and CM Punk square off here.  There’s the lock up...collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring—AND LOOK AT DOWNCAST!!!  The Champion shoving CM Punk straight to the canvas!

Downcast: HE’S NOTHING TO ME!!! HE’S NOTHING TO ME!!!

RS: Downcast...oh! What an obnoxious jerk he is.  Punk back to his feet once again...and there’s another lock up!  CM Punk...comes away with a side headlock here!  Punk trying to cinch up on the head of Downcast—BUT LOOK AT DOWNCAST!!!  Downcast...Downcast lifting Punk off the mat—AND HE DUMPS HIM TO THE CANVAS AGAIN!!!!! Downcast...another display of strength...

Corino: And Rosie, lemme tell ya, Punk’s a good friend of mine!  I know very well just what kinda talent the man has, but I dunno if he can match up with Downcast’s power...at least not with this strategy! 

RS:  You may be right as Downcast...as insufferable as ever!

Corino: And Rosie, we know Downcast has an ego, but Punk’s got one as well.  Punk believes in his heart that he’s the best, and every advantage Downcast takes on him has to be a dagger to his own psyche—LOOK AT THAT!

RS: Oh Punk...Downcast was looking for another tie-up, but Punk went downstairs!!!  Those kicks to the knees able to soften Downcast up, allowing Punk to grab another headlock!!  Downcast now...into the ropes he goes...looking for the shove off—BUT PUNK HOLDS ON!!!  Downcast...once again now...into the ropes again...again, CM Punk...tenaciously holding onto that side headlock!  Holding on with all his might—BUT WATCH DOWNCAST....lifting him up again—BUT THIS TIME PUNK TAKES HIM OVER!!!!!  CM Punk taking Downcast to the canvas—and look at him go to work, Steve!  Right hands...those right hands to the head of Mr. UWA!

Corino:  Punk starting to turn it up a notch here, Rosie...OOH!

RS: There’s a big kick to the back of Downcast...Punk follows it up with a dropkick to the back of the head, and now listen to this crowd!!  This crowd is on its feet as Punk measures Downcast...CM Punk—

Corino: Downcast had better watch it!  Punk’s getting ready to strike...OH!

RS: There’s the combo!  Punk looking for the combo—BUT DOWNCAST DUCKS THE KICK and skirts to the outside!  Downcast—

Corino: Now wait a second, Rosie!  “Skirts” to the outside?!  Are you insinuating that the Champion’s acting like a woman or something?  Are you questioning his manhood?

RS:  Well, there was no insinuation intended there, but don’t be surprised if Punk makes the Champion his bitch by the end of this one, Steve!

RS:  Downcast on the floor talking things over with his bodyguard...

RS: SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY CONNECTS...CM PUNK...AND LISTEN TO THIS CROWD!!!

Corino:  They’re all going crazy in the ATL...whoa—look out!

RS: Oh, Alberto!!!  That big huge bodyguard of Downcast’s is staring down Punk!

Corino:  Easy, Punker!! Don’t take your eye off the ball!

RS:  Punk has to be wary, here!!! We’ve seen this huge monster get involved before...as Downcast—LOOK AT THAT!!!! From behind, Downcast just nailed CM Punk with a forearm blow!  Punk goes crashing to the floor!  Downcast taking advantage of the distraction from Alberto Hernandez...and now...oh no!  Downcast with Punk...INTO THE STAIRS!!!!!  Punk driven headfirst into the stairs—

Corino: And this was exactly what I was talking about, Rosie!  When you’re in there with somebody like Downcast, you can’t take your eyes off the ball!  Downcast is someone not unlike myself, and he will take any advantage he can get out there, Rosie!  Any advantage...and watch this now!

RS: Downcast with the attention of the official in the ring...watch Alberto here...HARD FOREARM TO THE BACK OF CM PUNK!!!  Alberto...Alberto with Punk—AND HE DROPS HIM FACEFIRST ONTO THE STAIRS!!!  Punk...

Corino:  He could be out right there, Rosie!  He could be out!

RS: CM Punk’s championship goals hanging in the balance here, but he is down and he is hurt on the outside!  Fans, don’t touch that dial...hopefully this match will continue when we return on the other side.

Corino: Oh he cares, Rosie!  Believe me he cares!  The last thing he wants to do is lose this match to CM Punk!  He wants to prove to the world that he’s Mr. UWA!  The one and only!

RS: Downcast with Punk on his feet here...he measures him with a right hand...BUT PUNK FIRES BACK!!!  Downcast returns the favor...and so does Punk!!!! This crowd—

(The crowd goes back and forth, screaming “YAY!” for every punch landed by Punk, but “BOO!” for all those landed by Downcast!  The spectacle continues...)

RS: Flapjack by Downcast...modified version sends Punk facefirst into the canvas, and now watch Downcast.  Downcast now with Punk hooked...

Corino: Downcast could be looking for a suplex here...OH!

RS: Downcast just hanging CM Punk out to dry on the top rope! CM Punk—

Corino:  He’s in some real trouble here, Rosie!  I hate to say it!

RS: And Downcast knows it!  Downcast...oh! One foot on the chest...trying to humiliate Punk, but the straight edge superstar knocks it away!  Downcast...oh look at him here...just pummeling CM Punk!  Downcast now...draping Punk across that middle rope, and now just choking him...c’mon, Jim!  Back him up here!

RS: You may be right as this official is finally able to back Downcast up...the referee with Downcast once again—

Corino: He was trying to take the knee, and Downcast damn near took his face off with a kick of his own!

RS: Punk once again on the canvas as Downcast hammers away!  Downcast now...what’s this?  Downcast with the legs of CM Punk now...OH NO, A SLINGSHOT!!! Downcast with almost a guillotine catching Punk on that bottom rope—

Corino: Fans don’t realize how much those ropes hurt! He could easily have broken his neck there!

RS: Downcast with a cover, was only able to get a count of two...and now he’s cinching up on the reverse chinlock!  Downcast looking to put to sleep CM Punk’s title hopes!

RS: Exactly! The reigning Universal Champion...the reigning Intercontinental Champion, the very title that’s hanging in the balance right here—

(Crowd chants “PANTHER” again, to Downcast’s dismay)

RS: THE POST!!! HE HIT THE POST!!! DOWNCAST WENT FOR THE SPEAR, AND HE RAN SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RINGPOST!!!

RS: From behind, Downcast sends Punk into the buckle!  Now measuring Punk once again...perhaps another spear...BUT LOOK AT PUNK!! Punk able to catch him coming in with the bodyscissors...AND THERE’S THE TARANTULA!  Modified version as Punk does damage to the head and neck...this is an illegal hold, but we don’t have a referee—

Corino: Oh wait a minute!

RS: Alberto Hernandez—C’MON!!!!  ALBERTO ILLEGALLY ENTERING THE RING, AND HE JUST KICKED PUNK RIGHT IN THE HEAD!

RS:  This crowd now...once again chanting for Panther as Alberto heads back out to the floor!  Alberto—
