UWA Superstars: Rage

Background: One of the more decorated stars in UWA history, Rage made his first big splash in the company when he outlasted Firestorm, T Money, and Ice Cube in a four-way to crown the first ever Intercontinental Champion. Rage sought to become the most "fightingest" champion ever and ducked no challengers in either of his two title reigns. His rivalries with T Money and CM Punk produced some of the more memorable matches in the company's history.

In the Summer of 2005, Rage became romantically involved with Allison Corino, sister to then UWA Commissioner Steve Corino. The King of Old School wasn't fond of this new union, and did everything in his power to tear their bond asunder. Corino couldn't stop Rage from winning the 2005 Patriot Gamez tournament, though, and with Allison by his side, Rage went on to defeat his former tag team partner Ice Cube to become the brand new Universal Champion.

Rage defended the Universal Title with the same vigor he defended the Intercontinental Championship. In his four month reign, Rage amassed a string of successful title defenses against the likes of CM Punk, T Money, Downcast, Panther, Ice Cube, and Steve Corino himself. By the time he lost the title to Enygma at Apocalypse Now 2005, the One Man Riot had gained the respect of fans and peers alike. Even Corino, once his hated rival, had to give Rage his due as he offered his begrudging acceptance of the Rage/Allison union.

Over the next year and half, Rage and Corino grew to be as close as brothers, often coming together to defend Allison's honor. The two did just that at Apocalypse Now 2006 when they faced Original S.I.N., Feltcher and Nigel McGuinness. Feltcher had had his eye on Allison and attempted to force himself upon her, which naturally drew the ire of Rage and Corino. Though he and Corino emerged victorious in the tag encounter, Rage still felt that Feltcher had failed to show the proper respect for Allison. An "I Quit" match between the two was set for Total Annihilation 2007, a show that will unquestionably be remembered as a turning point in the career of the One Man Riot.

Feltcher beat Rage mercilously during their "I Quit" match, much to Allison's dismay. Rage, true to his character, refused to stay down despite the damage done to him, but Feltcher gleefully continued to pour on more and more punishment. In the end, Allison could no longer stand to watch the assault and tearfully threw in the towel for the man she loved. After the loss, the dejected Rage disappeared from action, and wouldn't be seen for nearly two months.

Eventually, Allison was able to talk Rage into appearing on the March 6, 2007 edition of In High Gear as Corino's tag team partner against Original S.I.N. Feltcher and McGuinness had been making life a living hell for the Corinos since Rage's departure, and with the One Man Riot back in action, they sought to gain their ultimate revenge against the twisted duo. What we did see, however, was a violent end to the Corino-Rage partnership, as the One Man Riot gave Corino his Total Annihilation finisher on the concrete floor before leaving both he and Allison for dead.

At SlamFest IV, Rage aligned himself with Black Blood, his former rivals. And with the backing of the most dominant group in UWA history, there's no telling if there wil be any halt to this One Man Riot.
