UWA Superstars: Kid Kash

Name: Kid Kash

Background: Initially a loved babyface, Kash made a splash in 2004 when he feuded with CM Punk and the Young Wunz over the Light Heavyweight Championship. A year later, Punk and Kash formed an alliance of convenience as they conspired to keep the Intercontinental Championship away from the Hurricane. The alliance yielded great results for the duo, who later went on to defeat Mass Destruction to win the Tag Team Titles.

Kash and Punk were a key part of the heralded "Tag Team Renaissance", battling Spanky and Paul London and then-Champions Panther and "J-Dogg" Johnny Gunn in a feud that culminated with a Triple Threat Ladder match that was praised as one of the greatest matches in the UWA's history. Their team dissolved, however, when Kash--unbeknownst to Punk--plotted with Kevin Yancy Taylor to regain the I-C belt. The two seemed set to reprise their feud from 2004 when Kash made national headlines for being arrested in a drug sting in Miami, Florida. His career on hold, Kash was soon checked into rehab, and he now fights to overcome the stigma associated with the event.
